premiere screening of the film “Erinnerung”

Film premiere

The Dessau-Roßlau municipal archive holds an extensive collection of documents, photos and eyewitness accounts of former forced labourers, including three former Belgian forced labourers. On the basis of these eyewitness interviews, with documents from these eyewitnesses, archival materials from the city archive and other archival and audiovisual sources, an approx. 58-minute documentary film entitled “Remembrance” was made. The author of the film is the documentary filmmaker Klaus D. Schwarz (among others “… und Tante Ju zog in den Krieg”). The film project was professionally accompanied by the Dessau-Roßlau City Archive, financially supported by the Saxony-Anhalt State Agency for Civic Education and the City of Dessau-Roßlau.
